I applied to another Wisconsin technical college and paid the $30 application fee. Do I need to pay the fee again? Yes, you need to pay another fee to MATC.
What are "official" transcripts? Official transcripts are issued directly to MATC from your high school or college. Official transcripts are sent to MATC in sealed envelopes and contain official signatures/seals of the high school or college. To request official transcripts, you will need to contact your high school and previous college(s). MATC has provided a request form for your use at: http://matc.edu/student/newstudent/pdf/HSTranscriptRequestForm.1.pdf Complete this form and mail to your high school or college. Most schools require a fee before issuing official transcripts. Contact your school prior to submitting your request for transcripts.

Applications submitted after the deadline will be processed for the Spring semester. NOTE: All required fees and documents must be received by July 31 for your application to be considered complete.
How do I know if I have been admitted to my program of choice? Once you have completed all admissions requirements, you will receive a letter indicating you have been admitted. Many programs require that you attend an orientation prior to registering for classes. You will be notified of your orientation date by mail. If your program does not require your attendance at an orientation, you will receive a letter requesting that you meet with a counselor for course selection.
I have already taken courses at another college. Will they transfer to my program at MATC? Contact your previous college(s) and have them send official copies of your transcript to the MATC’s Admissions Office. Credit transfer evaluation may take several weeks to complete. We cannot guarantee that a decision will be made prior to the start of the semester. We encourage you to apply and submit transcripts early.
If I am admitted to my program does that mean I am also registered for courses? No. Admission is separate from registration. Depending on your program, you will be required to attend an orientation, where you will register for your classes. You will be notified by mail of your orientation date. If your program does not require your attendance at an orientation, you will receive a letter requesting that you meet with a counselor for course selection.
If I am admitted into my program of choice, am I guaranteed that all my classes will be available at the time of registration? No. Program acceptance does not guarantee that courses will be available at the time of registration.
Can I take classes if I am not admitted to a program? Yes. However, many classes are restricted to students seeking an associate degree or technical diploma. Additionally, students not admitted to a program are not eligible to receive financial aid.
Are all MATC’s associate degree and technical diplomas available at all campus locations? No. Some programs are offered only at one of MATC’s campuses.
